A Sprinkling of Fairy Dust for you!

To get into the Christmas spirit I thought I would send you a sprinkling of Fairy Dust. I hope it brings you a magical time over the next few days, and that the magic will carry forward into 2010 so that in twelve months time you can say: Wow! That was really some year!

I hope that those of you who have decisions will make will have the courage to go ahead and make them.

I hope that those of you who are loaded down with problems will be able to shed some, if not all, of that load.
I hope that a smile is always nearby, ready to come upon your lips so often that you will get laughter lines rather than frown lines.
I hope that you are able to look upwards rather than downwards.
I hope that you can look in the mirror and say: "Well done you, I am proud of you".
I hope that you can remember to count your blessings each day.
I hope, oh I so hope, that you a Happy Holiday.
And I hope, really hope, that you have a Happy Year.

Sending you blessings from me and Hubs at Labartere.xxx

Kelly, it was after reading your latest blog that inspiration came to post this one up. Thought you could do with some 'Fairy Dust' sent your way, and I really hope 2010 is a magical year for you and that you get that breakthrough you have been hoping for.

Vera, I have tried to look up Labartere in Google Maps, to no avail. You say SW France. Can you be a bit more exact without giving your address away over the www?

Would help me to orient myself.

Hi Julie. Labartere is the name of the house and it is posted up on Google Maps. The village nearby is Castelnau Riviere Basse (Haute Pyrenees), and we are on the road which goes from the D935 to Plaisance (in the Gers). The house is by the River Adour, and on the opposite side in the village of Prechac (again in the Gers). Hope you can find us. Oh and the region code is 65700. Would be fun if you could see where we are. But where are you?

Julie said...

Okay got all that. I will go on a magical mystery tour, then come back and tell you where I am.

Ahha ... found it. But did not see that Labartere is posted on Google. Do you mean a photo or a post-it?

Anyhoo ... a friend and I who travel together are in the midst of planning a trip to the Canal du midi for the northern Autumn. We are thinking Carcassone and maybe Narbonne or Beziers, then finish in Paris.

Small world, eh?

As for me, I rent a small one bedroom flat with courtyard in the inner Sydney suburb of Paddington. It is close to my daughter and just up the hill from my aged father. I am retired and spent my days reading, writing, exploring, photographing and talking. Oh, and drinking coffee. Lots of coffee.

Thanks for the good wishes Vera, and for your kind words on my blog - you're a star!

Thanks Roz! And wishing you all the best for 2010. Raising a glass in celebration of our new lives in France......

Julie, if you drift on over to the top of the Haute Pyrenees on your trip, then pop in and say hi! And I was talking about Google Earth, - there is a satellite picture of Labartere, plus the top of one of the caravans last time I looked. I am also supposed to be retired, but my life sort of took off like a rocket when I hit sixty. Nice to have a UK pension though. Helps with the expense of making a new life. My family are all back in the UK. I am living my life. They are living theirs. But that doesn't mean that sometimes I have the glimmer of hidden pangs in regards to missing them! Loved your last three blogs by the way. Especially the second one, with the man walking alone. The poem also moved me, although I am not quite why it did. Perhaps because it was written from the heart?

Vera I need to ride some fairy dust right now. So I am going to just take a pinch if you don't mind.

Happy New Year.

Love Renee xoxo
