Just a quickie.....

Just to say:

That I wish all my blogging friends a lovely Christmas,
which is full of food and contentment,
...... that everyone stays in good humour,
even if stuffed full of food,
so much so that one's tummy feels stretched to the limit,
.......and good wine,
sufficient to bring a bloom to the cheeks,
and a tiny totter of the feet.

With all best wishes for a good festive season,
that is what I wanted to say.

Jessica, the Rayburn will not be lit again until Boxing Day because we are being fed tonight at a friend's place down the road, and then fed tomorrow at a friend's place across the road! Yahoooo! No cooking!!! And the Rayburn can have a holiday. Just as well, though, that the weather is still warm (16C during the day, 7C at night)so the house should hold its heat. And wishing you and your husband a lovely Christmas. Vx

LEON, and the same to you and your wife! Hope its a good one! Vx

OHIOFARMGIRL, and the same to you, with plenty of good cheer, warm fire, and cosiness!

PIONEERPREPPY, bless you, and wishing you and your family the same.

CRO MAGNON, yep...we start feasting at our friend's house tonight! Hope you have a Christmas full of goodly cheer.

DIANE, actually I have been in the kitchen all afternoon....making a cheese, baking my friend a cake which I lavished with piles of chocolate, baked a couple of loaves, and got into the oven a slow roast for dinner at my friend's house tomorrow. Now I'm done! No more cooking for me for a couple of days at least! Hope you enjoy spending time in the UK, and hope you have a lovely Christmas and New Year.

DAWN, and you too! Doubt either you or I will rest though, as I might have time to get some patchwork done, and I know you have that fabulous embroidery machine to play with!

JANICE, I am way behind with keeping up with the blog as well! Wishing you a splendid 2016, and hope you had a good Christmas.

JOHN, bless you, and wishing you the same.

TIM, you seem to know when to send me a nudge, and bless you for that. You always seem to know what words to write, ........ 'writing and playing music' being the two most important things I do and yet are the ones I pay the least attention to.
Thank you.
...and wishing you and your family all the best for 2016.

MIZUMATTE, bless you, and wishing you a happy and successful 2016.
